Part of the first phase of palm navigation. This work thinks through the ancestry of the photographed date palms, which are not native to Qatar, and are most likely offshoots from Iraqi date palms. Part of my ongoing research is to trace the history of the migration of Iraqi date palms, in parallel with tracing the migration of Iraqi people.
