This hand-embroidered floor piece imagines an impossible river system that multiplies in fractals across a matrix topography. Viewers are invited to walk on the rug and navigate the topography of the embroidered burlap from an aerial point of view. It is part of an ongoing body of work and research into the history of the Tigris-Euphrates river system and the consistent devastation of the land over the past 40 years.
